As I was editing my documentary, I realized that the only interview in my production was only of my mom. At first, I thought this would work out but after going over it again, I began to become a bit concerned that the content might start to feel repetitive or lacking in diversity. After contemplating whether or not to add an extra interview with someone other than my mom, I decided that adding an interview with my dad would be an effective way to put some variety into my production. After finalizing the plan to add my father to the documentary, I got right to work. The same day, I gave my dad some questions to go over to help him prepare for the interview, and right that night we filmed. Filming went very smoothly and he gave me a lot to work with. He answered the questions like we were having a conversation and had certain interviews rolling for a couple of minutes. Of course, I have to cut the interview down but the extra content definitely helped out a lot. I firmly believed that adding my father's perspective into the mix will make the content more engaging for the viewer.
